Our Story
Our story begins with a heartfelt thanks to the many family and friends who helped Megan navigate the intricacies and difficulties of re-entering New Zealand’s borders during 2020’s global pandemic.
With omniscient foresight, Kuya Thirdy then showed himself to be the greatest of older brothers by convincing Megan to trial an app which has a feature for making new friends whilst Auckland was stuck in lock-down.
In an act of serendipity, on the first day she’d signed up to the app, Megan happened to give Alex a chance, a chance that progressed from chatting constantly with each other for over a month (a daily highlight) to meeting up on several quickfire dates. At the end of which, Alex asked Megan if she would like to explore Auckland, and the rest of the world together, as a couple.
We have shared many experiences and adventures together in the last two and a half years since we met; from returning to the Philippines in 2023 where we visited Coron, Palawan (during a monsoon no less!) and Cebu where Megan grew up, to road tripping around New Zealand to see many of Alex’s favourite mountains and Middle-Earth landscapes.
Our journey is entering it’s next chapter with our engagement and marriage and we are excited for everyone to join us and become a part of our story.
